leaky bodies
leaky bodies is a series of hand-built sculptural vessels with unique folds, crevices and curves that allude to the soft way our human bodies exist and relate.
Individually and as a series, the vessels capture the dynamics and personality of body movements in a moment in time. These embodied expressions grew from Erika’s background as a movement artist and how her body now relates to earth and clay.
Each unique stoneware sculpture emphasize cracks to pay homage to our fluid existence, to remind us that we leak into each other’s beings as a collective consciousness.
