no one has to die for me to grieve

no one has to die for me to grieve (2024) is a multi-part installation on the ritualization, physicalization and reproduction of grief. It is an invitation to peek into the artist’s soul as she loses her wits.

The piece references the extreme peaks and lows of grief, the performance of grief, and the potential for over-expression to turn comical.

The entangled thread that tethers the piece illustrate the plummeting experience that deteriorates as she revisits grief over and over again like an old friend.
