womb

womb is an interrogation into the performance of pregnancy, the abstraction of birth, and the role it plays socially and culturally.

Throughout the workings of this piece, I am driven by the tensions between the externalities of a body swelling during the carry of another, and the internal construction of interwoven existences and fluid affinities.

I ask my spectator to sit in the potential of permeable and undulating states of being, to consider what continues to evolve beneath what meets the eye.
