I am a Brooklyn-based artist working across sculpture, performance, video, and installation. I create abstracted portraits of bodies caught in mid-movement, allowing gravity to take its toll on the being. I reference weight, layered on and growing within the body, as a representation of inherited trauma that lingers in its fleshy state. My work is a reconciliation of the human instinct to displace trauma in order to withstand our capitalist systems.
