Flexible Visual Systems

A flexible visual system for Dr. Martin Lorenz of TwoPoints.Net

In my exploration, I dissected 3 distinct hierarchies to my flexible visual system – starting with an overarching grid system, then specified dimensions of a container system, and lastly the pieces that filled these containers.

The concept is such that the “pieces” can be interchanged as long as they fit within the “containers”, and the “containers” determine the interaction of the “pieces”. The overarching system maintains its structure for clear and organized visual language, and the set container system ensures visual consistency, no matter how the “pieces” might look like.
