I spent 3 months with UAR program exploring acts of ritualizing, physicalizing, reproducing and ghosting to ask the question ‘is the body necessary to be human?’

Throughout my process, I experimented with mediums of performance, video, sculpture, installation, printing, clay, painting, drawing, liquid latex, rope design, 3D-scanning & 3D-printing. I immersed myself in texts of critical posthumanism, hydrofeminism, generational trauma, cyberfeminism, social reproduction, and philosophies of Deleuze and Guattari. I asked myself over and over again, what is the very essence of our humanness? Can I isolate moments of quiet discomfort and ask my spectator to sit in the point of the squeeze where ease meets resistance?
